PhDr. Jan Busta PhD.
Jan is the coordinator and author of the project. He works as a coach of high performance athlete in VICTORIA VSC and Czech National Junior Team. At the same time, he is an academic at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport (Charles University in Prague), where he is involved in research in canoeing and where he is a guarantor of teaching canoeing. At the faculty he teaches future coaches of the highest license through sports specialization courses. Jan has written two books and many scientific and popular articles and publications about canoe slalom training and racing.
Bc. Tereza Fišerová
Tereza is a Czech canoe slalom athlete . She races in C1 and K1 categories. She has many excellent results. Among the best of them are: 2nd place at the European Championships in 2020 and 2021, she participated in the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021 where she finished in a beautiful 6th place. Last year (in 2022) she won the overall World Cup ranking. She is currently studying at the PALESTRA University of Physical Education and Sport in Prague for her Master's degree. The topic of her thesis is her own sports career. Olympian Tereza, an excellent kayaker and canoeist, is the ambassador of the project "Women in canoe sport".
Mgr. Matej Vajda, Ph.D.
Sport scientist at Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Comenius University in Bratislava. He is specialized in the field of Sports Medicine and Physiology. He is an author or co-author of many scientific papers. Additionaly, he cooperate as a consultant with Police Sport Center and National Sport Center which are institutions responseble to support profesional elite athletes and coaches in Slovakia. Expertise: physiological aspects of sport training and performance, strength and conditining, testing and analyses of health and performance, methodology of sport training. He prepares and evaluates methodological content for the website.
Adriana Morenová
Adriana is a young Czech athlete (cateogy C1) who would like to coach children in the future. In 2022 she was silver at the European Junior Championship in České Budějovice. Together with Stanislav Ježek, she is responsible for the technical running of the website and project social media (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter).
Mgr. Jáchym Kolář
Jáchym graduated with a Master's degree in Physiotherapy at the 2nd Medical Faculty of Charles University, where is he now continuing in postgraduate doctoral studies. He works as a physiotherapist at the Pavel Kolář ´s Centre for Movement Medicine, where he works with patients with wide range of neorological deficits and musculoskeletal disorders. His postgraduate studies then focuses on the topic of neuro-visual function and its link to human movement. Since 2020 he is involved in the preparation of canoe slalom athletes of the VICTORIA VSC and Czech National Team in Prague as a physiofitness coach.
Bc. Eva Kunzmannová
A final year Master's student at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport in Prague, studying. Applied Physical Activities and Sport for People with Specific Needs. Has competed in triathlon multiple times during her stay in Castellbisbal, Spain (2019-2020). She is a passionate rower, runner and horse rider.
Dr. Bo-Marcus Lidström
Bo-Marcus is a former Swedish National Team member and several times Swedish champion in canoe slalom and whitewater racing. He has a Master of Science in Immunology which he has done research in, and is now chief physician in Pathology, Falun Regional Hospital. He has been coaching elite paddlers in canoe slalom for many years, and is president of Falun Canoe Club. He is CEO of Falun Whitewater Park which he also has designed and built.
MUDr. Et Bc. Eva Vajdova
Works as a doctor of medicine at the department of infectology and geographical medicine, faculty of medicine, Comenius University in Bratislava. She also graduated in psychology at the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University, Comenius University in Bratislava. In the project she is involved in the development of methodological materials. At the same time, she provides medical support during the training camps.
Isak Öhrström
Isak is an active and successful Swedish slalom kayaker. In Brazil 2016 he became the first Swedish athlete in history to compete in the Olympic Games in Canoe Slalom. He finished in 15th place in the K1 event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Isak has been in several World Cup finals, including Prague 2015, Tacen 2016 and Tacen 2020 where he took the first ever world cup medal for Sweden with a gold.
Bc. Andrea Duchoňová
She is a student of Masters programme at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports CU. She has been recently studying in France and Denmark within Erasmus programme. She is mainly interested in Nutrition and Health in Sport. Therefore, she is responsible for the Nutrition part of the project. She was part of Youth national team in Track and Field. Moreover, she was doing cycling, skiing, gymnastics, basketball and climbing. She volunteered in start of Tour de France in Copenhague last year.
MSc. Tereza Hybská
Tereza graduated with a Master's degree in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. She works as a performance testing assistant in the Centre of Sports Medicine in Prague. Moreover, she specialises in research focused on female health, menstrual cycle, and hormonal contraceptives in relation to sport and exercise.
MSc. Martin Stanovský, MPA
Kayak athlete. Kayak cross World Cup medalists. Martin is one of the youngest executive officials in Canoe Slalom, being active since he was 22. Currently Executive Director in Slovak Canoeing. He is co-managing ECA Junior Slalom Cup series. Graduate of MSc in International Business and MPA in Sports diplomacy. In this project he is the LEAR of Slovak Canoeing.
Mgr. Jana Brandejsová
Jana is a project manager at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport CU. She is dedicated to the preparation and coordination of development projects and especially to the support of project teams.
Ing. Stanislav Ježek
Stanistav Ježek is the chairman and LEAR of Český svaz kanoistů, z. s. (Czech Canoe Union). Stanislav is a former excellent competitor in the C1 category, he was third at the 2006 World Championship in Prague. Stanislav is an expert in video analysis (www.dartfish.tv), technical support for performance measurement and IT. He is responsible for the technical operation of the project´s website and Dartfish channel.
Ing. Barbora Tuzarová
Barbora has been a canoe slalom fan for years. Although not a paddler herself, she finds the sport really intriguing. In the project, she will be responsible for the language aspect of the created materials and results. She sees it as a great chance how to connect her passion for the English language with her other favorite activity - empowering girls and women to follow their dreams. She does that as a yoga teacher in her classes.
